Description

Prepare and process tissue samples for microscopic examination, ensuring proper handling and preservation of specimens.
Perform tissue embedding, sectioning, and staining to prepare slides for histological analysis.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including microtomes, tissue processors, and staining machines.
Assist pathologists and other healthcare professionals in interpreting histological slides and findings.
Ensure the accurate labeling and tracking of tissue samples to maintain proper documentation and prevent sample mix-ups.
Follow laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Maintain and update records for all processed samples, including patient details, specimen types, and test results.
Assist in performing special stains, immunohistochemistry, and other advanced laboratory techniques as needed.
Monitor the quality of the work performed, ensuring that all procedures are done with precision and accuracy.
Stay updated on advances in histopathology techniques and contribute to continuous improvement in laboratory practices.
