Job Description
- Diagnose and treat patients with acute and chronic liver diseases.
- Manage liver transplant patients (pre-transplant evaluation and post-transplant care).
- Perform and interpret hepatology procedures like liver biopsy, fibroscan, and endoscopy.
- Provide inpatient and outpatient hepatology consultations.
- Coordinate with surgeons, intensivists, and other specialists for patient care.
- Counsel patients and families regarding treatment plans and prognosis.
- Participate in clinical audits, research, and academic activities.
- Maintain accurate medical records and follow hospital protocols.
- Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
