Description

Job Responsibilities -

  • Ensures continues supply of materials, equipment's & other services to patients & employees of the hospital.
  • Does material forecasting and planning for the institute.
  • Procures supplies, services of medicines and equipment's on time and also by establishing minimum and maximum inventory levels and reorder quantities level.
  • Conferring with vendors, selecting products and equipment's by testing, observing or examining items and estimating values of market price.
  • Determines method of procurement i.e., direct purchase, lease, or bid.
  • Maintains procurement and receiving operations by developing policies and procedures.
  • Ensures verification of incoming materials, costs, delivery, product quality and inventories.
  • Carries out various inventory analyses on regular basis.
  • Plans, coordinates and administers the operational, financial, administrative and technical operations of materials management.
  • Provides strategic directions for materials & supply chain functions for the organization in the areas of inventory control, quality assurance and value improvement.
  • Experience in business process development and implementation of materials management/supply chain information systems.
  • Ensures proper documentation and processing of papers in the department.
  • Manages Vendor/ Sources relation and development.
  • Supervises inventory and ordering of material supplies.
  • Approves bills for payment & reviews MIS reports.
  • Provides direction, motivation and leadership to the subordinates.
  • Encourages the staff of the department for superior performance on the job, raise moral & increase productivity.
  • Takes part in the annual performance appraisal exercise of self & department staff.
  • Identifies the KRAs/ KPIs & training need of his subordinates.
  • Responsible for imparting/ organizing functional training for the subordinates.
  • Any other duties assigned by the reporting manager.
