Description

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with surgical conditions, including history-taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
Formulate accurate diagnoses based on clinical assessments, imaging studies, laboratory tests, and other diagnostic modalities.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, incorporating surgical interventions, nonsurgical therapies, and postoperative care as appropriate.
Perform surgical procedures across a spectrum of specialties, including but not limited to abdominal surgery, breast surgery, vascular surgery, trauma surgery, and minimally invasive surgery.
Ensure patient safety and optimize surgical outcomes by adhering to established surgical protocols, guidelines, and standards of care.
Provide preoperative counseling to patients and their families, explaining the nature of surgical procedures, potential risks, benefits, and expected outcomes.
Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgical assistants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate perioperative care, including anesthesia management, intraoperative monitoring, and postoperative recovery.
Monitor patients' postoperative recovery, assess for complications, and manage postoperative pain and wound care effectively.
