Description

Conduct thorough patient assessments and medical histories to diagnose surgical conditions and determine the appropriate course of treatment. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as imaging studies, laboratory tests, and biopsies, to aid in the diagnosis and staging of surgical diseases.
Perform a wide range of surgical procedures across multiple specialties, including abdominal surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, breast surgery, endocrine surgery, skin and soft tissue surgery, and emergency surgery. Utilize advanced surgical techniques, minimally invasive approaches, and robotic-assisted surgery to optimize patient outcomes and minimize surgical risks.
Provide comprehensive preoperative care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, including preoperative assessment, optimization of medical conditions, informed consent, and surgical preparation. Educate patients about the surgical process, potential risks and benefits, postoperative expectations, and discharge instructions.
Perform surgical procedures with precision, attentiveness, and adherence to established surgical protocols and safety standards. Ensure patient safety, surgical sterility, and optimal tissue visualization throughout the surgical intervention. Collaborate with surgical assistants, anesthesia providers, and operating room staff to maintain a safe and efficient surgical environment.
Monitor patients closely in the postoperative period to assess surgical outcomes, manage pain, prevent complications, and promote timely recovery. Provide postoperative instructions, wound care guidance, and follow-up appointments to facilitate optimal healing and rehabilitation. Address any postoperative complications promptly and collaborate with other healthcare providers as needed to optimize patient care.
