Description

Conduct patient consultations, medical histories, and physical examinations to assess surgical needs, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans.
Perform a variety of surgical procedures within the scope of general surgery, including but not limited to appendectomies, cholecystectomies, hernia repairs, bowel resections, mastectomies, thyroidectomies, and colonoscopies.
Evaluate diagnostic tests, imaging studies, and laboratory results to guide surgical decision-making and treatment planning.
Obtain informed consent from patients for surgical procedures, explaining risks, benefits, alternatives, and expected outcomes in clear and understandable terms.
Coordinate preoperative evaluations, tests, and consultations with other specialists, such as anesthesiologists, cardiologists, and internal medicine physicians, to optimize patient readiness for surgery.
Perform surgical procedures with precision, adhering to established surgical protocols, safety standards, and infection control practices to minimize risks and complications.
Monitor patients' vital signs, fluid balance, and clinical status intraoperatively, responding promptly to any deviations or complications during surgery.
Provide postoperative care, including wound management, pain control, nutritional support, and monitoring for postoperative complications, ensuring patients' safe recovery and discharge.
