Patient Evaluation and Diagnosis:

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations to diagnose surgical conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as imaging studies and laboratory tests.

Treatment Planning:

• Develop comprehensive treatment plans based on the diagnosis and patient's medical history.
• Discuss treatment options and potential risks with patients and their families.

Surgical Procedures:

• Perform a variety of surgical procedures, including but not limited to, appendectomy, hernia repair, cholecystectomy, and other general surgical interventions.
• Utilize advanced surgical techniques and technologies as appropriate.

Preoperative and Postoperative Care:

• Provide preoperative care, including patient preparation and education about the surgical process.
• Manage post-operative care, monitoring patients for complications and ensuring proper healing.

Collaboration with Medical Teams:

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary medical team, including anesthesiologists, nurses, and other surgical staff.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans.

Emergency Response:

• Respond to emergency surgical cases and trauma situations as needed.
• Provide immediate surgical interventions in emergency scenarios.

Patient Communication:

• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, explaining surgical procedures, potential risks, and expected outcomes.
• Address patients' concerns and questions.

Teaching and Training:

• Provide education and training to medical students, residents, and other healthcare staff.
• Participate in academic and clinical teaching activities.

Quality Improvement:

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance surgical processes and patient outcomes.
• Contribute to the development and adherence to evidence-based surgical protocols.
