Description
- Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations, to evaluate patients' health status and formulate accurate diagnoses.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions, such as infections, injuries, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, respiratory disorders, gastrointestinal conditions, mental health disorders, and musculoskeletal problems.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients, incorporating evidence-based practices, patient preferences, and cultural considerations, and provide appropriate medical interventions, including medications, procedures, and referrals to specialists.
- Provide preventive healthcare services, including health screenings, immunizations, health counseling, and risk factor management, to promote wellness, prevent disease, and improve overall health outcomes in patients.
- Manage chronic diseases through ongoing monitoring, medication management, lifestyle interventions, and coordination of care with specialists and allied health professionals to optimize patient health and quality of life.
- Provide acute care services for patients presenting with urgent medical needs or emergencies, including assessment, stabilization, and appropriate treatment interventions, and arrange for further management or hospital admission when necessary.
- Perform minor surgical procedures, such as wound suturing, incision and drainage, and skin biopsies, in outpatient settings, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and effective wound care.
- Offer patient education and counseling on topics such as healthy lifestyle choices, nutrition, exercise, smoking cessation, stress management, medication adherence, and disease prevention strategies to empower patients to take control of their health.
