Role Overview

1. A General Physician is responsible for providing comprehensive, high-quality medical care to patients of all age groups. The role involves diagnosing illnesses, managing chronic conditions, providing preventive care, and guiding patients with appropriate treatment plans. The physician works closely with nursing staff and specialists to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care

1. Conduct detailed patient consultations to evaluate symptoms, medical history, and overall health conditions.
2. Perform thorough physical examinations and order appropriate diagnostic tests (blood tests, imaging, screenings, etc.).
3. Diagnose a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions.
4. Provide treatment plans, prescribe medications, and monitor patient progress.
5. Manage chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension, asthma, thyroid issues, and lifestyle disorders.
6. Offer preventive healthcare guidance, including diet, exercise, vaccinations, and routine screenings.
7. Provide emergency care and stabilize patients when needed before specialist referral.
8. Maintain detailed and accurate medical records for all patient interactions.

Patient Communication & Counselling

1. Clearly explain diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive methods to patients and families.
2. Educate patients on healthy lifestyle practices and disease prevention.
3. Address patient concerns with empathy, clarity, and professionalism.
