Description

Conduct thorough medical evaluations and consultations to diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders, including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), liver diseases, pancreatic disorders, and gastrointestinal cancers.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' medical history, symptoms, diagnostic tests, and imaging studies, incorporating evidence-based guidelines and best practices.
Prescribe medications, dietary modifications, and lifestyle interventions to manage gastrointestinal conditions and symptoms, and monitor patient response to treatment.
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including upper endoscopy (esophagogastroduodenoscopy, EGD), colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), and capsule endoscopy.
Interpret endoscopic findings, biopsy results, and imaging studies to diagnose gastrointestinal diseases and guide treatment decisions.
Educate patients and their families about gastrointestinal conditions, treatment options, preventive measures, and lifestyle modifications to promote health and well-being.
Provide guidance on medication adherence, dietary management, smoking cessation, alcohol moderation, and other aspects of disease management and health promotion.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and nutritionists, to coordinate comprehensive care for patients with complex gastrointestinal conditions.
