Description

Diagnose and treat patients with gastrointestinal disorders, including but not limited to gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), peptic ulcers, and gastrointestinal cancers.
Perform comprehensive gastrointestinal evaluations, including medical histories, physical examinations, endoscopic procedures (e.g., colonoscopy, upper endoscopy), and interpretation of diagnostic tests (e.g., imaging studies, lab tests).
Develop individualized treatment plans based on accurate diagnoses and evidence-based medicine, incorporating pharmacological, endoscopic, and surgical interventions as appropriate.
Provide pre- and post-procedural care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, ensuring their safety, comfort, and informed consent.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including surgeons, radiologists, oncologists, and nutritionists, to provide comprehensive care and optimize patient outcomes.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and tumor boards to discuss complex cases, treatment plans, and management strategies.
Stay updated on advancements in gastroenterology through continuous medical education, research activities, and participation in professional conferences and seminars.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documentation, and billing information in compliance with regulatory standards and institutional policies.
