Gastroenterologist

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. 
• The ideal candidate will specialize in diagnosing and treating conditions related to the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, including organs such as the stomach, esophagus, colon, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder. 
• The consultant will work closely with patients to manage complex digestive issues and collaborate with other medical professionals to provide comprehensive care.
   

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert consultation services in gastroenterology, including the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases.
• Perform endoscopic procedures, such as gastroscopies, colonoscopies, and advanced therapeutic endoscopy.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care, including dietitians, surgeons, and primary care physicians.
• Lead the gastroenterology unit, supervising junior doctors, medical students, and support staff.
• Participate in on-call rosters to provide emergency care for patients with acute gastrointestinal conditions.
• Engage in continuous professional development to keep abreast of the latest advancements in gastroenterology and related medical fields.
• Educate patients and their families on gastrointestinal health, preventive measures, and treatment options.
