Description
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings to determine assembly sequences, dimensions, and specifications for mechanical components and systems.
- Measure, cut, and shape metal components using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Assemble and fit mechanical parts and components, including pipes, valves, bearings, gears, and shafts, using welding, brazing, soldering, and adhesive bonding techniques.
- Align and adjust mechanical components to ensure proper function and performance, using alignment tools, jigs, and fixtures.
- Install and repair mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery in accordance with safety and quality standards.
- Inspect finished assemblies and installations to verify conformance to specifications, tolerances, and quality requirements.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues, diagnose problems, and implement corrective actions to resolve equipment malfunctions and operational problems.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition, adhering to safety protocols and housekeeping standards.
