Description

Assemble Machinery and Equipment: Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to assemble mechanical components and systems accurately. Use hand and power tools to fit, align, and secure parts to construct machinery and equipment.
Install and Commission Equipment: Install newly assembled machinery and equipment at client sites or within manufacturing facilities. Perform commissioning activities, including testing, adjusting, and calibrating equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Repair and Maintain Machinery: Diagnose mechanical issues, troubleshoot problems, and perform repairs and maintenance tasks to restore or optimize the performance of machinery and equipment. This includes replacing worn or damaged parts, lubricating components, and adjusting settings as needed.
Welding and Fabrication: Utilize welding and fabrication skills to join metal components and structures as required for machinery assembly, repair, or modification. Perform welding tasks using various techniques, such as arc welding, MIG welding, and TIG welding.
Conduct Inspections and Testing: Inspect machinery and equipment for defects, wear, and damage, and perform testing and measurements to ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
Ensure Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to work safely with machinery and equipment. Follow relevant safety regulations and guidelines, use personal protective equipment (PPE), and report any safety hazards or incidents.
Document Work Activities: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including assembly, repair, and maintenance activities. Record equipment specifications, parts used, maintenance schedules, and inspection results as required.
Collaborate with Team Members: Work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, and other tradespeople to complete projects and achieve common goals. Communicate effectively, share knowledge and expertise, and coordinate tasks to ensure project success.
