Description

Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of facilities, including buildings, grounds, equipment, and systems, to ensure they are safe, functional, and well-maintained.
Lead and manage facility staff, including maintenance technicians, custodial workers, and contractors, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and monitoring performance to achieve operational goals and objectives.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs, schedules, and procedures for facility systems, equipment, and machinery, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and compliance issues, and coordinate repairs, replacements, or upgrades as necessary to address deficiencies.
Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers to obtain quotes, schedule services, and oversee work performed on facilities, ensuring quality of workmanship and adherence to specifications.
Maintain accurate records of facility maintenance activities, work orders, inspections, and expenditures, using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or facility management software.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations applicable to facilities, including OSHA regulations, fire safety codes, and building codes.
Respond to facility-related emergencies, incidents, or service interruptions promptly, coordinating emergency response efforts, and implementing contingency plans to minimize disruption to operations.
Manage facility budgets, track expenses, and optimize spending to meet operational needs while staying within budgetary constraints, identifying cost-saving opportunities and recommending efficiency improvements.
Provide excellent customer service to facility users, tenants, or occupants, addressing their needs, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
