Description

Emergency Care: Provide immediate and efficient nursing care to patients in the emergency department, assessing and prioritizing care based on the severity of conditions.
Patient Triage: Perform initial patient assessments and triage to determine the urgency of treatment needs, ensuring that critical cases are prioritized.
Vital Signs Monitoring: Monitor and record vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels, and temperature, adjusting care based on patient responses.
Wound Care and First Aid: Administer first aid, dress wounds, and provide care for burns, cuts, fractures, and other trauma-related injuries.
Medications and Treatments: Administer prescribed medications, intravenous fluids, and other treatments as directed by the attending physician, ensuring patient safety.
Collaborate with Medical Team: Work closely with physicians, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and timely care for emergency patients.
Patient Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of patient information, treatments, and progress, ensuring proper documentation for continuity of care.
Emergency Procedures Assistance: Assist physicians in performing emergency procedures, including intubation, CPR, catheterization, and other critical interventions.
Patient Support and Education: Provide emotional support and communicate clearly with patients and families regarding treatment plans, outcomes, and necessary follow-up care.
Infection Control: Adhere to strict infection control procedures, ensuring that the emergency department maintains a clean and safe environment for both patients and staff.
