ENT Consultant

Job Overview:

• The ENT Consultant will be responsible for diagnosing, managing, and treating conditions related to the ear, nose, throat, and related areas. 
• The consultant will lead a team of healthcare professionals, participate in surgical procedures, and ensure high standards of patient care. 
• They are expected to collaborate with other departments and provide mentorship to junior doctors and medical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnosis & Treatment:

• Perform detailed assessments of patients with ENT conditions.
• Prescribe appropriate treatment plans, including medical management and surgical interventions when required.
• Conduct surgeries such as tonsillectomy, sinus surgery, and ear tube insertions.

Patient Management:

• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Provide consultations and follow-up care.
• Ensure timely and effective communication with patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment options.

Collaboration:

• Work with multi-disciplinary teams, including audiologists, speech therapists, and oncologists, to provide comprehensive care.
• Collaborate with other specialists for complex cases that involve head, neck, and skull base conditions.

Leadership & Training:

• Supervise junior doctors, nurses, and medical staff.
• Participate in educational sessions and training for medical professionals.
• Engage in continuous professional development and keep updated with advancements in ENT care.

Administrative Duties:

• Maintain detailed medical records for all patients.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to decision-making processes.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Medical Degree with specialization in Otolaryngology (ENT).
• Fellowship training in relevant subspecialties is desirable.
• Active license to practice and board certification.
• Several years of experience as an ENT specialist or consultant.
