Description

Design and develop HVAC systems for new construction, renovations, and retrofit projects, including load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork design, and control system integration.
Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather data and information necessary for HVAC system design and implementation. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop design specifications and requirements.
Prepare detailed engineering drawings, plans, and specifications for HVAC systems using CAD software. Ensure that designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
Select HVAC equipment, components, and materials based on project requirements, performance criteria, and budget constraints. Evaluate options for energy efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
Perform thermal and energy analyses to optimize HVAC system performance, efficiency, and environmental impact. Identify opportunities for energy conservation and recommend strategies for system optimization.
Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineers to integrate HVAC systems with building infrastructure, utilities, and controls. Ensure compatibility and coordination of HVAC designs with other building systems.
Assist in the preparation of project proposals, estimates, and budgets for HVAC engineering services. Participate in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting activities.
Provide technical support and guidance to project teams during construction, installation, and commissioning of HVAC systems. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
