Emergency Medical Technician

Requirements

1. Diploma in Emergency Medical Technician or DCCT or Bachelor’s in Emergency Care Technology or GNM with minimum 6-12 months of ACLS ambulance.
2. BLS/ACLS/ATLS certificate or knowledge required.
3. An Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provides pre-hospital emergency medical care to patients in critical and non-critical situations.
4. They respond to emergency calls and arrive promptly at the scene of accidents or medical emergencies.
5. EMTs assess patients’ conditions and determine the severity of injuries or illnesses.
6. They provide first aid, CPR, oxygen therapy, wound care, and basic life support.
7. EMTs stabilize patients and prepare them for safe transport to healthcare facilities.
8. They operate ambulances and ensure emergency equipment is functional and ready for use.
