Description
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits of facilities, operations, and processes to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement controls to mitigate risks and prevent accidents, injuries, and environmental incidents.
- Provide leadership and guidance to site EHS teams and coordinators, ensuring effective implementation of EHS programs, training initiatives, and compliance activities.
- Monitor and analyze EHS performance metrics, trends, and leading indicators to identify areas for improvement, track progress, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies, external auditors, and industry partners to ensure compliance with environmental permits, licenses, and regulations, and facilitate inspections, audits, and reporting requirements.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and environmental spills, conducting root cause analyses and implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence and improve safety performance.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors on topics such as hazard recognition, emergency response, chemical safety, and ergonomics to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
