Description
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Lead and manage the EHS team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure that all safety, environmental, and health protocols are followed across the organization.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and site inspections to identify potential hazards, ensuring corrective actions are taken to mitigate risks and improve workplace safety.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations, keeping abreast of any changes in legislation and ensuring organizational compliance.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, leading root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
- Collaborate with various departments to integrate EHS considerations into all processes, projects, and operational activities, ensuring safety is prioritized.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs, ensuring all employees are educated on safe work practices, emergency procedures, and proper use of safety equipment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date EHS records, including incident reports, training logs, regulatory submissions, and compliance documentation.
- Report regularly to senior management on EHS performance, highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the organization, driving continuous improvement in safety performance, accident prevention, and environmental sustainability.
