Description

  • Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for electroencephalogram (EEG) tests by explaining the procedure, ensuring they are comfortable, and obtaining any necessary medical history.
  • Electrode Placement: Apply electrodes to the patient's scalp according to standardized placements, ensuring proper adhesion and positioning for accurate readings.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate EEG machines to record electrical activity in the brain, monitoring equipment settings to ensure optimal recording quality during the procedure.
  • Monitoring During Procedure: Continuously observe the patient during the EEG test, noting any irregularities in brain activity and ensuring the patient's comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Data Recording: Capture and record EEG data, ensuring that all relevant information is accurately documented for analysis by neurologists or other medical professionals.
  • Post-Procedure Care: Remove electrodes after the test, ensuring the patient's scalp is clean and providing any post-procedure instructions regarding potential symptoms or follow-up care.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot EEG equipment, conducting regular checks to ensure proper functioning and reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with neurologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to discuss test results, assist in diagnosing conditions, and contribute to patient management.
