Description

  • Conducting echocardiographic examinations on patients using ultrasound equipment to visualize and assess the structure and function of the heart chambers, valves, and surrounding tissues.
  • Analyzing echocardiographic images and Doppler measurements to diagnose cardiac conditions such as cardiomyopathy, valvular heart disease, congenital heart defects, and pericardial disease.
  • Generating detailed reports summarizing echocardiographic findings, including measurements of cardiac dimensions, ejection fraction, and valvular function, and making recommendations for further diagnostic testing or treatment.
  • Collaborating with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and other members of the cardiac care team to discuss diagnostic findings, develop treatment plans, and coordinate patient care.
  • Conducting TEE procedures when indicated to obtain more detailed images of the heart structures by inserting a transducer into the esophagus under sedation.
  • Performing stress echocardiograms to evaluate cardiac function under stress conditions, such as exercise or pharmacological stress, to assess for ischemia or myocardial viability.
  • Providing compassionate care to patients undergoing echocardiographic examinations, explaining procedures, addressing patient concerns, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the testing process.
