Description

Echocardiogram Procedures: Perform echocardiograms (ultrasound imaging of the heart) to assess the structure and function of the heart and its blood flow, as prescribed by a physician.
Patient Preparation and Education: Prepare patients for echocardiography by explaining the procedure, answering their questions, and ensuring their comfort throughout the process.
Ultrasound Equipment Operation: Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images of the heart and surrounding blood vessels for diagnostic purposes.
Image Quality Control: Ensure clear, accurate, and detailed images are captured, adjusting equipment settings and patient positioning as needed to optimize image quality for cardiologist review.
Analysis and Measurements: Take precise measurements from the echocardiogram images, such as heart chamber size, wall thickness, and blood flow velocity, and provide this information to healthcare providers.
Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document patient information, procedure details, and echocardiogram findings in electronic medical records (EMR), preparing reports for the referring physician or cardiologist.
Patient Monitoring and Safety: Monitor patients during the procedure to ensure their well-being, particularly those with pre-existing heart conditions or health concerns.
