<ul><li>Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) and, if applicable, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) on patients as per physician orders.</li><li>Prepare patients for echocardiography by explaining procedures and answering any questions to alleviate concerns.</li><li>Ensure patient comfort and safety during the procedure.</li><li>Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment, ensuring it is functioning correctly and calibrated as needed.</li><li>Troubleshoot any technical issues with the ultrasound machine and report significant problems to the supervisor.</li><li>Ensure all equipment is sanitized and cleaned according to infection control standards after each use.</li><li>Obtain high-quality images and measurements of the heart and surrounding structures during echocardiograms.</li><li>Utilize various echocardiographic techniques, such as Doppler imaging, to assess blood flow and heart function.</li><li>Ensure images are clear and of diagnostic quality, making adjustments to techniques as necessary.</li></ul>
