Description

Conduct electrocardiogram (ECG) procedures on patients referred by physicians or healthcare providers.
Prepare patients for ECG testing by explaining the procedure, ensuring patient comfort, and addressing any concerns.
Attach electrodes to the patient's chest, arms, and legs according to established protocols and ensure proper electrode placement for accurate readings.
Operate ECG equipment to record and analyze the electrical activity of the heart, ensuring the quality and clarity of the ECG tracings.
Monitor patients during ECG procedures, observing for any signs of distress or discomfort, and responding promptly to patient needs.
Interpret ECG tracings to identify abnormalities in heart rhythm, rate, and conduction, and document findings accurately.
Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to review ECG results, provide additional information as needed, and assist in formulating treatment plans.
Maintain ECG equipment and supplies, performing routine maintenance, calibration, and cleaning to ensure optimal performance.
