Description

  • Taking over patients from previous DMO - Details of Serious cases, patients on blood or any other transfusion, on Chemotherapy etc.
  • Ward Round, write progress note. - Write date & Time of Visit - Write case seen by Dr. Name
  • Note Complaints & Examination Findings - Sign at the end.
  • (Note: Mandatory to record above for the patients who are not covered by the DNBs/Registrars.)
  • Attending Emergency Cases or for any patient for which assistance is requested by junior staff.
  • Attending New admission patient - Write case sheet. - Write date, time of visit, note complaints

record above for the patients who are not seen by the DNBs/ Registrars.

  • Preparing & correcting discharge summary.
  • Blood transfusion, Chemo-therapy, dressing etc.,
  • Follow up instructions of consultants
  • Other routine responsibilities of a Duty Doctor of a ward.
  • Attending calls received from nursing station on time.
  • Incase sudden absence of another DMO, calls received from that ward also to be attended.
  • Payment will be made on Time Basis & Shift Basis.
  • Each DMO will visit the Wards at least once during his/her duty hours. Ask the sister
