- BSR would need someone with clinical depth, treatment orientation and patient relationship continuity mindset.
Key Responsibilities of a Duty Doctor:
Patient Assessment and Examination:
- Taking medical histories and performing physical examinations.
- Evaluating patient symptoms and determining appropriate courses of treatment.
- Monitoring vital signs of inpatients and reporting any abnormalities.
Treatment and Management:
- Diagnosing and treating common ailments and minor injuries.
- Administering medications and monitoring patient responses.
- Assisting senior doctors in patient diagnosis, treatment, and management.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient medical records.
- Documenting all evaluations, medications, treatments, and test results.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Working closely with other medical professionals, including nurses, specialists, and senior doctors.
- Communicating findings and treatment plans effectively to patients and their families.
- Reporting to senior management and liaising between administrative and medical staff.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations and safety standards.
- Participating in risk management activities.
General Duties:
- Performing routine check-ups and recommending specialists when needed.
- Participating in daily rounds and procedures.
- Providing guidance and support to patients and their families.
- Additional Responsibilities (Depending on the specific hospital or clinic)
- Providing support to other healthcare team.
