Description

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' dietary habits, health conditions, and nutritional status, using tools such as food diaries, health questionnaires, and anthropometric measurements.
  • Evaluate clients' nutrient intake, energy expenditure, and metabolic needs, and identify nutritional deficiencies, imbalances, or dietary risks that may impact health or performance.
  • Develop individualized nutrition plans tailored to clients' specific health goals, dietary preferences, cultural backgrounds, and medical conditions, incorporating evidence-based guidelines and recommendations.
  • Provide personalized nutrition counseling and education to clients, addressing topics such as portion control, food choices, meal timing, hydration, and supplementation, to support healthy eating behaviors.
  • Provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT) to clients with chronic diseases or medical conditions, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal disorders, renal disease, or eating disorders, in collaboration with healthcare providers.
  • Interpret laboratory tests, medical records, and medication profiles to assess nutritional risk factors, develop treatment goals, and monitor progress toward improving clinical outcomes.
  • Educate clients and the community about the importance of nutrition for overall health and disease prevention, delivering presentations, workshops, or seminars on topics such as healthy eating, weight management, and nutritional guidelines.
  • Collaborate with schools, workplaces, community organizations, and healthcare facilities to develop nutrition education programs and initiatives aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles and reducing health disparities.
