Description
- Responsible to supervise the work and duty shifts of dieticians.
- Responsible to control and coordinate overall functions of the dieticians.
- Responsible to train the trainees and junior dieticians.
- Responsible to supervise Diet Planning for Patients
- Responsible to supervise preparation of diet cards
- Responsible to monitor Food Service Operations
- Responsible to check and taste the food to ensure conformance of nutritional and quality standards
- Responsible to check food is served in proper time and temperature
- Responsible to check breakfast, lunch and dinner are packed according to the diet card
- Responsible to check each and every tray for meal and pick up the card
- Responsible to ensure trays are arranged properly in the trolley hot case and then send to the ward
- Responsible to monitor proper distribution of the food
- Authoterize to order special lunch in the kitchen for patients
- Responsible to maintain diet chart for post surgery critical patients and for all the patients in heart command center.
- Responsible to coordinate and discuss with doctors for the RT feeds of the patients
- Responsible for making RT feeds using commercial formulas and home made feeds.
- Responsible for filling the calorie charts for the patients on RT feed
- Responsible for consulting the doctors for patients specific diet problems such as renal problems, diabetic, liver disorders, constipation, diarrohea, low fat, low cholesterol, high fiber etc.
- Responsible for explaining the patient about his physiological problems related to his diet.
- Responsible for resolving problems and take appropriate action with the help of kitchen supervisor
- Responsible for maintaining various record:
- Inpatients discharge register
- Message register
- Intake file
- OPD register
- Type of diet prescribed
- Responsible for bedside Counselling for the discharged patients
- Responsible for providing nutritional consultation to the patients based on individual dietary needs
- Responsible for coordinating between the ward nurse and kitchen staff
- Receive the information about the patients shifting form one ward to another
