Description

Set up and operate dialysis machines, ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly and that patients are comfortable
Prepare patients for dialysis treatments, including the cleaning and sterilization of access sites, such as arteriovenous fistulas, grafts, or central venous catheters
Monitor patients during dialysis, ensuring vital signs are stable and addressing any concerns that arise during treatment
Ensure that the dialysis procedure is completed safely and effectively according to prescribed treatment protocols
Record and document all patient data, including vital signs, dialysis machine settings, treatment duration, and any incidents or concerns during the session.
Provide patient care and support before, during, and after dialysis, explaining the procedure, answering patient questions, and offering emotional support
Perform regular checks on dialysis machines and equipment to ensure they are working properly and maintain routine maintenance schedules
Troubleshoot and address any technical issues with dialysis equipment and ensure that any malfunctioning equipment is reported for repair
