Description

Set up and prepare dialysis machines and equipment for patient treatments according to established protocols and safety guidelines.
Perform venipuncture to access the patient's bloodstream for dialysis treatment, ensuring proper needle insertion and blood flow during treatment.
Monitor patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse rate, and oxygen saturation, throughout dialysis treatment, and report any abnormalities or concerns to the nursing staff or physician.
Operate dialysis machines during treatment sessions, adjusting treatment parameters as directed by the nephrologist or nurse to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.
Educate patients and their families about dialysis treatment procedures, equipment operation, dietary restrictions, fluid management, and other aspects of kidney disease management.
Assist with the transportation and positioning of patients on dialysis chairs or beds, ensuring their comfort and safety during treatment.
Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients during dialysis treatment, addressing their concerns and ensuring a positive patient experience.
Maintain cleanliness and sterility of dialysis equipment, treatment rooms, and work areas, following infection control protocols and regulatory standards.
