Diabetologist

• Diagnosis & Management: Assessing and diagnosing various types of diabetes (Type 1, Type 2, gestational) and associated complications.
• Treatment Planning: Developing personalized treatment plans, including medication management (insulin and oral hypoglycemics), lifestyle modifications, and monitoring strategies.
• Patient Education: Educating patients on blood glucose monitoring, insulin administration techniques, dietary modifications, and the importance of regular physical activity.
• Monitoring & Follow-up: Regularly monitoring patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and managing comorbid conditions such as hypertension, dyslipidemia, and diabetic nephropathy.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Working closely with dietitians, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
• Research & Continuous Learning: Staying updated with the latest advancements in diabetes care and participating in clinical research to improve treatment outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Educational Background: MBBS with a postgraduate degree MD  in Internal Medicine or DNB Endocrinology.
• Specialized Training: Additional certifications or fellowships in diabetes management are often preferred.
• Clinical Skills: Proficiency in patient assessment, diagnostic testing, and treatment planning.
• Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare teams.
• Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with digital health tools and devices for glucose monitoring and telemedicine platforms.
