Description
- Read and interpret dental prescriptions, clinical records, and patient specifications to determine the type and design of dental prostheses or appliances needed.
- Use dental impressions, molds, and digital scans to create accurate models of patients' teeth and oral structures.
- Fabricate dental prostheses, including crowns, bridges, dentures, veneers, and orthodontic appliances, using a variety of materials such as porcelain, acrylic, metal, and composite resin.
- Customize dental restorations and prostheses to match the color, size, shape, and occlusion of natural teeth, ensuring a natural and comfortable fit for the patient.
- Shape, contour, and polish dental appliances using hand tools, rotary instruments, and dental lathes to achieve the desired aesthetics and functional characteristics.
- Apply surface stains, glazes, and characterization techniques to simulate natural tooth enamel and enhance the appearance of dental restorations.
- Inspect finished dental products for accuracy, fit, and quality, ensuring they meet the dentist's specifications and standards.
- Perform occlusal and functional checks on dental prostheses, making adjustments as needed to ensure proper alignment and articulation.
- Conduct final inspections and quality control checks before delivering dental restorations to the dentist or dental laboratory.
