Description

Perform CT scans on patients according to physician orders and established protocols, ensuring accurate positioning and optimal image quality.
Prepare patients for CT procedures by explaining the process, obtaining relevant medical history, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Position patients correctly on the CT table and immobilize them as necessary to prevent motion artifacts during scanning.
Operate CT equipment to acquire cross-sectional images of the body, adjusting technical parameters such as slice thickness, exposure factors, and contrast media administration as needed.
Monitor patients during CT scans, observing for any adverse reactions to contrast media and ensuring appropriate responses to patient needs or emergencies.
Review CT images for quality and completeness, ensuring that all anatomical structures of interest are adequately visualized and accurately captured.
Assist radiologists or interpreting physicians in image interpretation and provide additional images or reconstructions as requested.
Maintain accurate documentation of CT procedures, including patient information, exam details, and radiation exposure parameters, in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
