Description
- Perform CT and MRI imaging procedures, including patient positioning, image acquisition, and data processing, according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Operate CT and MRI equipment, including scanners, consoles, and related imaging technology, to produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by radiologists or other healthcare providers.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures, providing clear instructions, addressing patient concerns, and monitoring patient condition throughout the procedure.
- Administer contrast agents or contrast media as needed for CT and MRI studies, following established protocols, dosage guidelines, and safety precautions.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to optimize imaging protocols, interpret imaging studies, and provide accurate diagnostic information.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and imaging archives, including patient demographics, procedure details, and image acquisition parameters, in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot CT and MRI equipment and instrumentation to ensure optimal performance, equipment safety, and image quality, and report equipment malfunctions or issues as needed.
- Follow radiation safety principles, infection control protocols, and safety guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to infection prevention practices.
