Description

Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, such as autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners, to ensure proper sterilization of medical instruments and equipment.
Follow established protocols for the cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing of reusable medical and surgical instruments.
Ensure all sterilization processes are conducted according to infection control guidelines and manufacturer instructions.
Assemble, package, and label sterile supplies and instruments for use in surgical and medical procedures.
Manage the inventory of sterile supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage conditions.
Track and document sterilization processes, including cycle times, load contents, and quality control measures.
Conduct routine quality control checks and biological testing to verify the effectiveness of sterilization processes.
Maintain accurate records of sterilization procedures, equipment maintenance, and inventory.
Adhere to infection control standards, safety regulations, and hospital policies to ensure a safe and sterile environment.
