Description

Operate sterilization equipment and follow established protocols to ensure the proper sterilization of medical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
Inspect, clean, and assemble medical instruments and equipment for sterilization, ensuring that they are in good working condition.
Manage and maintain inventory of sterile supplies, monitoring expiration dates and restocking as needed.
Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes, including the use of sterilization indicators and logs.
Conduct quality control checks to ensure the effectiveness of sterilization processes and compliance with industry standards.
Perform routine maintenance on sterilization equipment and report any malfunctions or issues to appropriate personnel.
Adhere to infection control protocols and follow guidelines established by regulatory agencies.
Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, including surgical teams and nurses, to meet their sterile instrument needs.
Provide education and training to healthcare staff on proper handling, cleaning, and sterilization of instruments.
