Role of CSSD Technician – Operation Theatre

Sterilization & Infection Control

1. Execute cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, and packing of OT instruments.
2. Ensure strict adherence to infection control and sterilization protocols.

OT Instrument Readiness

1. Ensure timely availability of sterile instrument sets for all surgeries.
2. Maintain tray accuracy, integrity, and traceability.

Process & Compliance

1. Monitor sterilization cycles, indicators, and documentation.
2. Ensure compliance with NABH, OT safety, and quality standards.

Coordination & Workflow

1. Collaborate with OT teams to support smooth surgical turnover.
2. Manage instrument flow between OT, CSSD, and storage.

Asset & Quality Management

1. Handle instruments safely to prevent damage and loss.
2. Report defects, failures, and contribute to continuous improvement.
