Job Description

1. Manage and treat critically ill patients admitted to ICU and high-dependency units.
2. Perform continuous monitoring and stabilization of vital organ functions.
3. Provide ventilator support and adjust settings according to patient condition.
4. Lead resuscitation during cardiac arrest and other medical emergencies.
5. Diagnose and manage sepsis, respiratory failure and multi-organ dysfunction.
6. Perform invasive procedures including intubation, central line and arterial line insertion.
7. Coordinate patient care with consultants, nurses and allied healthcare staff.
8. Review investigations, plan treatment and monitor response on daily rounds.
9. Counsel patients’ families regarding clinical status, prognosis and treatment plan.
10. Maintain accurate ICU records and ensure adherence to safety, infection control and quality protocols.
