Description
- Analyze and interpret medical images to diagnose diseases, injuries, or other medical conditions.
- Provide timely and accurate radiology reports to referring physicians.
- Perform and interpret a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and ultrasound.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including referring physicians, surgeons, and medical teams, to discuss patient cases and determine the most appropriate imaging techniques.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of diagnostic images, identifying and addressing any issues that may affect the diagnostic value of the images.
- Communicate with patients to explain imaging procedures, address concerns, and provide reassurance.
- Obtain relevant medical histories and assess the appropriateness of requested imaging studies.
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information, imaging studies, and radiology reports.
- Ensure compliance with medical record-keeping regulations and standards.
