Description

Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients presenting with mental health disorders, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, substance use disorders, and personality disorders.
Formulate accurate psychiatric diagnoses based on clinical assessments, diagnostic criteria (e.g., DSM-5), and collaboration with multidisciplinary team members.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with mental health disorders, incorporating evidence-based pharmacological interventions, psychotherapy, psychosocial interventions, and lifestyle modifications.
Monitor and adjust medication regimens based on treatment response, side effects, and patient preferences, ensuring optimal symptom management and medication adherence.
Provide crisis intervention and acute psychiatric care for patients experiencing psychiatric emergencies, including suicidal ideation, aggressive behavior, and acute psychosis.
Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, nurses, occupational therapists, and other mental health professionals to provide comprehensive and integrated care for patients with complex psychiatric needs.
Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings, case conferences, and clinical rounds to review patient progress, discuss treatment plans, and coordinate care across disciplines.
Provide supervision and mentorship to psychiatric residents, fellows, and other trainees, fostering their professional development and clinical skills in psychiatry.
