Description

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including psychiatric history, mental status examination, and review of systems, to formulate accurate diagnostic impressions and treatment plans.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and tailored to meet the unique needs and preferences of each patient.
Provide psychiatric medication management, including prescribing, monitoring, and adjusting psychotropic medications, and educating patients about medication risks, benefits, and side effects.
Deliver psychotherapy and counseling services, utilizing various therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy (IPT), and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), to address patients' psychological and emotional issues.
Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, nurses, occupational therapists, and primary care providers, to ensure integrated and holistic care for patients.
Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings, case conferences, and clinical rounds to discuss patient progress, treatment planning, and coordination of care.
Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior psychiatry residents, medical students, and other healthcare trainees, and participate in educational activities and training programs.
Conduct psychiatric consultations and evaluations in various clinical settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, emergency departments, and community mental health centers.
