Description
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and formulate accurate diagnoses.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapeutic interventions.
- Provide expert guidance and supervision to a team of mental health professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and psychiatric nurses.
- Collaborate with other medical specialists to address the physical and mental health needs of patients with comorbid conditions.
- Participate in treatment planning meetings and case conferences to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in psychiatric research, medications, and treatment modalities to enhance the quality of care.
- Conduct psychoeducation for patients and their families to promote understanding and engagement in the treatment process.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of mental health policies and procedures.
- Provide on-call coverage as needed to address urgent psychiatric concerns.
