Key Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities
- Conduct OPD consultations, diagnose orthopedic conditions, and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
- Manage IPD patients, including pre-operative and post-operative care.
- Perform orthopedic surgeries such as fracture fixation, joint replacement, arthroscopy, and trauma surgeries.
- Evaluate diagnostic tests like X-rays, MRI, CT scans, and lab reports to determine management.
- Attend orthopedic emergencies, including trauma cases.
- Ensure proper documentation, treatment notes, consent forms, and discharge summaries.
Patient Care
- Provide patient counseling regarding condition, procedures, rehabilitation, and follow-up.
- Ensure adherence to clinical safety, infection control, and patient care protocols.
- Coordinate with physiotherapy team for rehabilitation and recovery plans.
Team Collaboration
- Work in coordination with anesthesiologists, radiologists, physiotherapists, nurses, and emergency teams.
- Guide and supervise junior doctors, residents, and interns.
- Participate in clinical audits, MLC documentation (if any), and quality improvement programs.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain operative records and ensure timely completion of medical documentation.
- Participate in departmental meetings, CME sessions, and academic discussions.
- Contribute to departmental SOPs and support NABH-related documentation and compliance.
