Description
- Conduct comprehensive orthopedic evaluations and assessments of patients presenting with musculoskeletal conditions, including trauma, fractures, degenerative joint diseases, sports injuries, and congenital abnormalities.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and bone scans, to assess the extent of orthopedic injuries or disorders and guide treatment decisions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with orthopedic conditions, including surgical interventions, nonsurgical treatments, rehabilitation protocols, and preventive measures.
- Perform a wide range of orthopedic surgical procedures, including fracture fixation, joint replacement surgery (such as hip replacement, knee replacement), arthroscopic surgery, spine surgery, hand surgery, foot and ankle surgery, and pediatric orthopedic surgery.
- Utilize advanced surgical techniques, including minimally invasive surgery, computer-assisted surgery, and robotic surgery, to optimize surgical outcomes, minimize complications, and enhance patient recovery.
- Provide perioperative care for orthopedic surgery patients, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative management, and postoperative follow-up, ensuring optimal pain management, wound healing, and functional recovery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including orthopedic nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, and primary care physicians, to provide comprehensive and coordinated care for orthopedic patients.
- Participate in orthopedic trauma call coverage and provide timely evaluation and management of orthopedic emergencies, including fractures, dislocations, and soft tissue injuries.
