Description
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to diagnose conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and refractive errors.
- Review patient medical histories and symptoms, and perform diagnostic tests, including visual field tests, optical coherence tomography (OCT), and ultrasound imaging.
- Conduct preoperative evaluations and provide detailed explanations to patients regarding the surgical procedures.
- Ensure that all surgeries are performed following the highest standards of safety and care.
- Prescribe and manage medications for eye conditions such as glaucoma, infections, and inflammatory diseases.
- Administer treatments such as intravitreal injections, laser therapy, and other non-surgical interventions.
- Collaborate with optometrists and other specialists to manage complex cases and co-manage patient care.
- Monitor patients' recovery post-surgery, ensuring that healing is progressing as expected.
- Provide follow-up care, including medication adjustments and further treatments if necessary.
