Description

Perform comprehensive neurological assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests, to diagnose and evaluate patients with neurological disorders.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as imaging studies (MRI, CT scans), electroencephalograms (EEGs), and nerve conduction studies, to aid in the diagnosis and management of neurological conditions.
Develop individualized treatment plans for patients based on their diagnosis, medical history, and clinical presentation, utilizing pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions, such as medication management, rehabilitation therapy, and lifestyle modifications.
Provide ongoing medical management and follow-up care for patients with neurological disorders, monitoring their progress, adjusting treatment regimens as needed, and addressing any complications or adverse effects.
Consult and collaborate with other healthcare providers, including primary care physicians, specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals, to coordinate patient care, optimize treatment outcomes, and ensure comprehensive management of complex cases.
Educate patients and their families about neurological conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies, providing information, guidance, and support to empower them to participate in their care and make informed decisions.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, assessments, treatments, and recommendations in electronic health records (EHR) or medical charts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
