Description
- Perform comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations for patients with renal diseases, including chronic kidney disease (CKD), acute kidney injury (AKI), nephrotic syndrome, and hypertension.
- Develop individualized treatment plans, incorporating medical management, renal replacement therapies (dialysis), and kidney transplantation when indicated.
- Monitor and adjust treatment regimens based on patient response and disease progression.
- Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals involved in the care of nephrology patients, including nurses, nephrology fellows, and dietitians.
- Provide guidance and supervision to junior medical staff and residents in training, promoting clinical excellence and professional development.
- Educate medical students, residents, and fellows through clinical teaching rounds, lectures, and case presentations.
- Facilitate continuing medical education (CME) activities and participate in departmental or hospital-wide educational initiatives related to nephrology.
- Mentor trainees and junior faculty in nephrology research and clinical practice.
