Description

Diagnose and treat patients with kidney diseases, including chronic kidney disease (CKD), acute kidney injury (AKI), glomerular diseases, and electrolyte disorders.
Provide hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and other renal replacement therapies to patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD).
Consult with patients, perform thorough medical histories, conduct physical examinations, and interpret diagnostic tests to formulate treatment plans.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments, medical history, and laboratory results.
Prescribe medications and monitor their effects, adjusting treatment regimens as necessary to optimize patient outcomes.
Educate patients and their families about kidney disease management, dialysis procedures, dietary restrictions, and lifestyle modifications.
Collaborate with nephrology nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and support services.
Participate in clinical research, publish findings in medical journals, and contribute to medical education by teaching residents, medical students, and allied health professionals.
